About me

I was born in Germany and have played the flute since I was 7 years old. After finishing my studies at the Lübeck Academy of Music (Diplomas in Musical Education and Musical Performance) I completed my Masters degree (Flute) in 2009 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of Professor Dieter Flury - I further perfected my skills in masterclasses with flutists such as Michael Martin Kofler, Jean-Claude Gerard and Peter-Lukas Graf.  During my studies I was a member of "Jeunesse Musicales" World Orchestra, the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and played in orchestras such as the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, the National Youth Orchestra of Germany or the Bayreuth Festival of Young Artists. I received scholarships from the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), the Richard Wagner Verband Hannover and the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Graz.

Since 2004, I have been playing as a substitute at the Viennese State Opera, in orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Volksoper Vienna, the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, and at the Baden Theatre and the Seefestspiele Mörbisch.

I am a member of the Sinfonietta Baden and the Opera Klosterneuburg and perform regularly with the Vienna Mozart Orchestra.

Apart from that, I teach at the Gustav Mahler Conservatory Vienna and, in 2009, also taught flute classes abroad in the course of the Study Abroad Program Tennessee.

In January of 2012, I taught a masterclass in Jakarta, Indonesia, where I also performed the Concerto for Flute and Harp by W.A. Mozart (Rama Widi) with members of the Symphonia Vienna.

I went on tours in the US, China, Japan, Korea, Mexico and Indonesia. Together with the Vienna Wind Ensemble I won many first prizes, one of which was the first prize at the "Concorso Internazionale di Musica da camera Majano", and was part of festivals such as the "Abustan Festival" in Beirut in 2013.
